A year in development since initial concept, ‘Pommery’ is designed to reflect the qualities of the Vranken Pommery Champagne house range. The idea of Alan Murchison, the room has been created by Trevillion Interiors to conjure up the associations and sentiments associated with enjoying Champagne.
In the centre of the room is a specially commissioned, bubble-etched, glass table on a bespoke Pommery beam which creates a truly original dining setting for parties of up to fourteen
The room has gold
decoupagé effect walls complete with a fine 1940’s Venetian mirror which reflects the bubble effect from the table and the spun glass of the Swarovski crystal boogi lights. Whilst the first floor windows, finely draped in honey coloured tuille, encourage a constant pouring of light to reflect the changing flow of the day’s mood.
“Vranken Pommery already has an established association with creativity and with commissioning contemporary art. To try to translate the excitement and qualities of our Champagne into a three dimensional reality is ambitious. Now reality, the “Pommery” room exceeds our expectations”, said Sara Hicks, UK Manager of Vranken Pommery. “Pommery offers a truly memorable venue in which to really experience how well quality Champagnes can complement a fine menu and excite the palate”.
A handmade Champagne trolley handsomely displays an impressive selection from the Pommery range, some of which are only available in the UK at L’ortolan.
