As reported by one recent reviewer, the food comes first at L’ortolan. Alan Murchison’s dishes are based on modern French style and values, typically involving less butter, cream and salt. He is noted for his impeccable and modern style presentation. However, Alan is passionate about ensuring that the same quality of interpretation extends right through the whole experience and is as integral to the wine, the service and the style of the environment as it is to his food.
Our philosophy at L’ortolan is to offer an experience which exceeds each guest’s expectations leaving them wanting to come back again and again.
