Commis De Rang

We are looking to appoint a Commis De Rang to support the Chef de Rang in providing exceptional service to restaurant guests at a 1 Michelin star restaurant L’ortolan. The successful Commis De Rang will have ability and confidence to serve food brought from the Kitchen, to be aware of how each dish is prepared and the ingredients used, developing your knowledge as the menu changes, prepare Mis en Place according to the standards of hygiene and presentation as well as many other duties.

Chef De Rang

We are looking to recruit a professional Chef De Rang to compliment our existing team. The basic function of the role is to assist the Head Waiter’s team in maintaining our superior standards in terms of food and quality. You will be responsible for ensuring that our guests are treated with an efficient, friendly and courteous service. Your role will involve ensuring Mise en Place and preparation of restaurant and bar room area, running and supervising Commis de Rangs. Always courteous with excellent presentation and knowledge of our products you will be keen to develop your experience in a renowned 1 Michelin star environment.

Sommelier

Sommelier wanted to support the Head Sommelier in day to day running of the wine service and looking after the cellar. This is a marvelous career opportunity to work in one of the UK's top restaurants for someone with three years experience in a Fine Dining establishment. The role involves contact with guests who have a high expectation from the wine service at l'Ortolan, so a solid wine knowledge and confidence to make recommendations is essential.

There is a great deal of opportunity for development which could come quickly depending on experience, with active involvement in choosing additions to the list and wine to accompany each dish for the popular 'wine matching' menu options.
