Alan and bulthaup

Living in Winchester Alan had often passed and admired the bulthaup kitchen showroom there.

 When he wanted a new demonstration kitchen at l’ortolan that would match the quality of his restaurant, and be really practical to cook in, he felt that bulthaup would be the answer.  Having met with owner and designer Stewart Carr he quickly realised that he was right!  Stewart was able to translate into reality Alan’s vision for a kitchen studio that felt like a domestic kitchen.  Stewart had many finishes to choose from, and chose the walnut panels to match the opulence of the l’ortolan décor.

Since this partnership began, Alan has hosted many cookery demonstrations in the kitchen; he still finds it an enjoyable and functional space to use.  He and head chef Robin have also presented cookery demonstrations to bulthaup Winchester’s clients in Stewart’s showroom.
